Missouri Department of Higher Education - Annex

The Annex sits directly behind the MDHE building. To reach the Annex, take El Mercado (a side street off Amazonas Drive). The Annex is the second driveway on the left. The two buildings are also connected by a walkway.

From Kansas City (Highway 50 East):

• Take the Truman Boulevard exit. At the top of the ramp, turn right and take the overpass over Highway 50.
• Go through three closely spaced stoplights. Pass the Hy-Vee grocery store then turn right onto Amazonas Drive.
• 3515 Amazonas Drive is a square, tan, two-story building on the right. Park in front or to the side. A receptionist is located just inside the front door.

From Kansas City (I-70 East):

• Take Highway 63 South (Jefferson City exit).
• Follow directions (below) from Columbia.

From Columbia (Highway 63 South):

• Take Highway 54 West (Jefferson City exit).
• While crossing the Missouri River bridge, get in the far right lane. (This is not an exit only lane!)
• After the bridge, pass the Main Street exit and the McCarty Street exit then veer right at Highway 50 West (Sedalia exit).
• Go about four miles on Highway 50. When you see the Capital Mall to the right, take the next exit (Truman Boulevard).
• At the top of the ramp, turn right. Go through two more stoplights.
• Pass the Hy-Vee grocery store then turn right onto Amazonas Drive.
• 3515 Amazonas Drive is a square, tan, two-story building on the right. Park in front or to the side. A receptionist is located just inside the front door.

From Linn (Highway 50 West):

• Take the Truman Boulevard exit; you will see the Capital Mall to the right just before the exit.
• At the top of the ramp, turn right. Go through two more stoplights.
• Pass the Hy-Vee grocery store then turn right onto Amazonas Drive.
• 3515 Amazonas Drive is a square, tan, two-story building on the right. Park in front or to the side. A receptionist is located just inside the front door.

From St. Louis (I-70 West):

• Take I-70 west to Highway 54 west. (Fulton/Jefferson City exit at Kingdom City , Exit #148.)
• Turn left onto Highway 54 heading west. Drive about thirty minutes to Jefferson City .
• While crossing the Missouri River bridge, get into the far right lane, an exit only lane.
• Take the Sedalia , Highway 50 West exit. Just after the bridge, pass the Main Street exit and the McCarty Street exit then veer right at Highway 50 West ( Sedalia exit).
• As you enter Highway 50 west traffic, you will have to go left over two lanes to merge into oncoming traffic. Drive to the third exit, Truman Road/Country Club Drive . You will make a right turn onto Truman Road .
• As you pass the Exchange Bank and Hy-Vee grocery store, turn right onto Amazonas Dr.
• Drive to the end of the road, across the street from the Candlewood Suites to 3515 Amazonas Drive . It is a square, tan, two-story building on the right. There is front and side lot parking. A receptionist is located just inside the front door.

From Lake of the Ozarks/Springfield (Highway 54 East):

• Travel Highway 54 East and take the MO-179/MO-B ramp
• Turn Left onto MO-179 N. Continue to follow MO-179 N.
• Merge onto Highway 50 W via the ramp on the left. When you see the Capital Mall to the right, take the next exit (Truman Boulevard).
• At the top of the ramp, turn right. Go through two more stoplights.
• Pass the Hy-Vee grocery store then turn right onto Amazonas Drive.
• 3515 Amazonas Drive is a square, tan, two-story building on the right. Park in front or to the side. A receptionist is located just inside the front door.
